Companions

Tools and teachings that move the essays from the page into daily practice.

The essays at The Bountiful Path are meant to be read. The companions are meant to be used. They include seasonal reflection toolkits, online classes, and recurring features that give the work a place in the week and in the year. Each one is designed to be low-friction and high-return: pick it up when you need it, set it down when you do not.

Seasonal Reflection Toolkits

Field-guide PDFs organized around the Five Phases of Chinese medicine, paired with companion apps. The toolkits pair contemplative prompts with practical, body-based practices rooted in integrative medicine.

Spring (Wood phase)

A season of planning, growth, and the green of new leaves. The Spring Companion invites you into a week of slow beginnings.

Each toolkit pairs a field-guide PDF with an interactive web companion. Spring is available now on Podia; the rest follow through the year.

Online Classes

Courses at the intersection of integrative medicine, Chinese medicine, and contemplative practice, drawn from two decades of clinical and creative work. Warm and expert; accessible to anyone.

The Life That's Asking to Be Lived

A short course on listening for the life that wants to be lived next. It comes with two web companions for daily practice: a card to draw a single intention, and a wheel to locate yourself in the season.

The Life Tending Card and Season Wheel companions are included with the course on Podia.

More classes are in development. Subscribers will be the first to know when registration opens.

Recurring features

Books on the Boat

A recurring feature reviewing books read at the shoreline and on the water. The aim is never to rank or recommend in the abstract, but to notice what a particular book does in the life it meets. Personal, unhurried, connecting the book to place and lived experience.

Seasonal Field Notes

Shorter pieces tied to the Five Phases and to the specific week we are in. The weather, the tide, the garden, and the practice that fits the moment.
